Unique foxhunting wall art is a reproduction of a 18th century Scherenschnitte, translated means “scissor cuts”. This art tradition was founded in Switzerland and Germany in the 16th century and was brought to Colonial America in the 18th century by Swiss and German immigrants. Each piece was cut freehand with scissors from strong rag paper. Intricate design of foxes in center bordered by dashing foxhunters and hounds. Our version is cut by laser but retains the feel of this fabulous art form. Mounted on black acid free paper. Black frame with gold edge, protected by glass and ready to hang. Nice equestrian décor accent for the foxhunting home.
