The official 147th Kentucky Derby Poster is designed by Ralph Fugate. Commissioned by Churchill Downs for the running of the 2021 Kentucky Derby. Ralph Fugate is a self-taught professional sports artist specializing in Thoroughbred horse racing. Fugate is the 24th artist and fifth consecutive Kentuckian commissioned to create the Derby’s officially licensed artwork since the tradition began in 1997.
