    Joan MacIntyre American 1932

    Joan E. MacIntyre is a portrait, landscape and most of all, a horse painter. For over forty years MacIntyre has painted horses, dogs and farms across the United States and England. An award winning artist in open juried shows as well as equine art shows, she is a signature member of the Society of Western Artists and an associate member of the American Academy of Equine Art.

    The Thoroughbred of California, Chronicle of the Horse, Western Horseman, Horse Illustrated and Equine Images have featured articles and covers of MacIntyre's paintings.

    Clients include the late George Gertty III, Jacqueline Getty, P.K. Wrigley, Howard Koch, Telly Sevalas, Stanley Ranches, The Wrigley family and many European and national racing enthusiast. MacIntyre's art has had representation at the Harness Tracks of America Art Show and Auction since 1991.

    MacIntyre has painted for the working horseman, jockeys, celebrity owners and people who just love their animals. Her art subjects include racing, foxhunting and rural scenes drawn from a lifetime of involvement with animals and the rural lifestyle.

    A native of New York, MacIntyre was educated in New York schools, attended Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She also studied portraiture under Jossey Bilan of Scottsdale, Arizona.
