Born into racing, Jan Yarberry is a third generation horseman and a self-trained equine artist who has developed the gift of transforming canvas into a trackside seat. This is an ability that only the passion a lifelong horseman could achieve. A step into the thoroughbred game with one of Jan's works brings to life all the power, grace and beauty that is unique to horse racing.
From the original painting by Jan Yarberry depicting Street Sense and jockey Calvin Borel crossing the finish line at the 2007 Kentucky Derby. Trained by Carl Nafzger, who realized Borel's potential. Without Street Sense, Borel may never have received the opportunity to demonstrate how talented he was and without Borel, Street Sense would not have been given the trip that allowed him to unwind and dominate the 2007 Kentucky Derby. This print is officially licensed by Churchill Downs.
