The Horse and Hound Story
Founded in 1986 by equestrian Barbara Klausner, Horse and Hound Gallery was first located in historic Old Louisville, not far from Churchill Downs. It was called Klausner/Cooperage and it specialized in original sporting art, with exhibitions throughout the United States. “Horse and Hound” was the gallery’s special collection of distinctive home accessories, including rare antiques.
Within a few years, the demand for equestrian gift items grew and the Horse and Hound Catalog was started. Shortly after that its website was launched, making horseandhound.com one of the earliest equestrian e-commerce sites available to the public.
Over the years, Horse and Hound has featured an exceptional array of unique and high-quality items. We are a small company, which gives us the opportunity to create one-on-one relationships with our customers. We are proud to say we have happy clients dating back more than 20 years!
Currently we are exclusively an on-line catalog, with the exception of one printed edition for new and top sellers at the holidays, which is mailed to customers in the fall. Promotional discounts are e-mailed at regular intervals to anyone who wishes to receive them.
Horse and Hound Gallery is located in Prospect, Kentucky, USA.
